This isn't really reclaiming the psyche so much as an excuse to note that the third ingredient of Mt. Dew is orange juice.
I've never really tasted the orange juice in Mt. Dew though.

Seriously, what is wonderful is adding mtn. dew to orange juice in the morning.
Yeah, I'm a hard drinker. (of the dew)
Is urine the first ingredient? For some reason Mt. Dew has always reminded me of pee.
Many years ago my parents had some friends visiting them from England, and they called Mt. Dew "pee water" but without the "er" on the end of water, because, you know, they had British accents, so it was more like "pee wateh."
